Biography: |
| Born in Vancouver and raised in Coquitlam BC, Valerie is a long-time resident of Port Moody, living near the urban forest that is the inspiration for much of her art. Armed with her camera she is often seen along the inlet trail capturing moments to recreate on canvas.
Primarily self-taught, Valerie is continually experimenting with mediums, tools and manipulations to recreate a memory of time and place. Her self-directed study has included various workshops, and has led to the development of a unique style and perspective.
Valerie's works are finding an ever-broadening audience, and are found in collections in Canada, the United States and United Kingdom. She has recently completed a commission work of local scenery for a private collection. Her work can be seen on an ongoing basis at the Blackberry Gift Shop in Port Moody.
Valerie's art is also available in art-card format. |
